Athens Music Week awaits top-10 EEMA Winter students!
This week, the Eastern European Music Academy (EEMA) team is bringing an outstanding delegation to one of the biggest music conferences and festivals in the Balkans – Athens Music Week! This is a fantastic opportunity for our top-10 students to immerse themselves in the music business, meet each other in person, connect with some of the EEMA course speakers, network with hundreds of music professionals from all over Europe, and participate in amazing workshops.💫🌟
The 3-month winter course has been an inexhaustible fount of knowledge and experience, where our students have successfully built an international online network, organising tours and concerts for each other in their native countries. During Athens Music Week, they will finally meet in person a lot of incredible industry experts, like César Andión, from Live Nation Spain, Oskar Strajn from ESNS, Jesper Mardahl, Managing Director of Danish music community Promus and conference organiser at SPOT+, our amazing partners from LALA Slovak Music Export, Mastering the Music Business Romania and many more music professionals from across Europe, some of whom shared their expertise during this EEMA course. 🎶🤝
🔺 What is the agenda?
▶ On the first day, the delegation will attend a business mixer event hosting three esteemed music networks: Eastern European Music Academy (EEMA), Hub for the Exchange of Music Innovation (HEMI), and Music Tech Europe Academy (MTEA). This event will provide an opportunity to explore what each network offers.
▶ The next big event will be the EEMA reception, showcasing the Eastern European Music Academy project.
▶ Our students will also have the opportunity to pitch themselves during a private EEMA meeting and listen to inspiring speakers from the course, such as Jesper Mardahl, César Andión, and Oskar Strajn.
▶ Multiple workshops and panel discussions await our delegation during AMW. One of them will feature our top-10 student Carlotta Põdra from Estonia, who will speak on the panel ‘Beyond the Turntables: DJs as Cultural Pioneers in Modern Society.’
▶ The cherry on top will be a wonderful showcase festival highlighting music diversity.
